No more free space

XP sp3.

Been through everything on this article:

including moving pagefile to another drive and installing programs to another drive, but I am still left with less than 5MB free space.

How do I free up more space and stop it from disappearing mysteriously?

sounds like a virus, here use this:

bitdefender: http://www.bitdefender.com/scanner/online/free.html

kaspersky: http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

nod32: http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/

also install and run malwarebyte's anti-malware:

http://malwarebytes.org/

if nothing works, nuke and reinstall

OP, have you run chkdsk /r?

Try turning off system restore, if you haven't already. I freed up 15GB like that.

call microsoft support and they'll help, if they dont, your stupid, anyone could find the answer by using a simple google search.
