Plug internet into computer, imageboards work fine. Plug internet into router, computer gets redirect loop error. How can I set up my router or change settings to fix the problem?

By the way, the errors seem to be happening in contacting the img server rather than any other server (zip, dis, ...).

What model router is it? Try one of the replacement firmwares, I like Tomato.

I'm using the "RANGEMAX WIRELESS ROUTER WPN824" from Netgear.
Also, would changing from a dynamic to static IP make any difference? I believe that I did that around the same time I started experiencing this issue.

Just curious, is it possible to have the address mask that the router gives me be banned, but not have my IP withut the router being affected?

Has anyone really decided as to even go that far in wanting to do to look more like so?
Today, I set up all the computers in the house with a different router, and everything worked fine. Shame that the router needed to be changed back, so I still am stuck with this same stupid problem.

Try starting with a coherent question. I have no idea what >>5 is trying to ask.

Most consumer grade routers are rather crappy. I have no idea what would cause this, except maybe check your hosts file to see if anythings been added to it.
I plug the Internet into my computer, I get one IP. I plug it in through the router, I get a different one. If the one I get going through the router becomes blocked, will the IP from the direct connection be affected?
I'm thinkin' not.

The IP address you get from the router is what's known as a private address if it begins with 10.x.x.x or 192.168.x.x, it only works on your local network, there's no way it would get blocked. The only address the outside world ever sees is the IP of the router.

DD-wrt is ok, but it's TOO advanced and my router is not compatible with Tomatoe, which means it's been neutered [Ow my balls]
