New machine problems

Afternoon /comp/, I've just bought a new mobo as my old one fried, I've put it all together but I've come across some problems..

The bios can't detect my HDD and my CD drive together, and has troubles detecting my cd drive with one of my sets of IDE cables.

I've got distortion on my output, jumbled characters, what appear to be lines across screen.

Any ideas?

check jumpers if they are on the same cable or put the hdd and cd drive (cd drive might be fucked) on separate cables, also check for a bios update.

Cool beans, I'm going to make a bootable usb stick until I can get my CD drive working.

I've got some problems with distortion on my video output, I've tried reconnecting the card, it's still not working.
