All Maxtor drives since the Seagate merger are simply rebadged previous-generation Seagate designs sold for slightly less. Anyone who isn't an armchair expert relying on worthless, outdated experience knows this.
Once upon a time, desktop Seagates were considered among the least reliable you could buy, and pre-Deathstar IBM was considered one of the best. Shit changes all the time; keep up.
