Virtual machines finding eachother on the network

I want to be able to make 2 virtual machines find eachother via their own network.
For example, I want for each virtual machine to be able to find the other on their network, to let say Windows Server 2k3 (which is a Domain Controller) to find to find another Windows Server 2k3 so they can communicate with eachother so I can create a tree.
It keeps bugging me about DNS.

Got any tips, pointers, or how-to's? Or just general help?

Setup the VM to use bridged networking rather than virtual switching/NAT and put the hosts on their own network: 10.unique.number.*

Since you're using AD you should run DNS on one of the servers. AD likes to use DDNS, otherwise you'll have to add SVR records manually.
