Google keeps trying to be helpful with suggestions, alternate spellings and word tense. You'd think using quotes would give an exact match, but it still returns spelling and grammar variations. Google used to return just what I was looking for, not suggest things like it was Ask Jeeves.

Google keeps changing the way it searches - it used to ignore some words in quotes if they were too common, but it doesn't do this anymore.
And google's new page rank makes me rage.

I miss the thing that Google did for a while that allowed you to search their database from 2001. For example, "iPod" would bring back a result in something completely different from the Apple product (it must have been many months before October 23, 2001), and "4chan" brought back a couple results for ham radios.
