I'm copypasting this from my original thread on /g/ because it's sucking dicks tonight, I figure that this is where the REAL men hang.

Given that my company's enterprise email has to go through our RIMS server before hitting the WAN, I do not use my company email for private shit ()

However, my blackberry allows me to add private email accounts, (yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc).

Will mail sent using those accounts on my blackberry go through our RIMS server before hitting the WAN? Or does it go through to the internet via the EDGE network?

tl;dr, will can my private email be stored, read, audited by my company if it's handled by my blackberry?

how the fuck would I know?  get me a diagram of your company's network layout, and then maybe we can talk.

Or just encrypt your email like smart people do.  Then you don't have to give a shit if it gets intercepted.

Don't change these.
