k guys its my first time in the text boards, ive been banned multiple times for posting in "wrong" boards, so please be nice to me k =P. my computer will not let me de-frag it. every time i try do defrag, it aborts and tells me to run chkdsk (check disck). so i do and then i try again to defrag. and the same message comes up. the reason being, "there are too many inconsistencies in my disk". is it because i download and delete too much, or is it something that happens to bad disks? i just got this computer a few months ago, i check everyday to make sure its running properly, and i Have de-fragmented this computer before, and this message has never come up. what should i do?
on another note, maybe even more serious, my computer registration name was changed. but i was not the one that changed it. it went from MY name to the name , Maxwell Smart. not only do i not know anyone named maxwell smart, i was not aware that a new registration name can be given after the original name. is this possible and should i be worried about the name change, and might it be related to the problem im having while trying to defrag my computer?
please respond soon. thanks.
