I have a WRT350N. What's the best way to orient the antennas so as to get the best signal in a specific part of my house? The documentation doesn't say anything and the googles they do nothing.

Try using a parabolic dish made of tinfoil.

wifi is highly polarized
keep your antennae vertical
the antennae in your laptop is usually in the display
keep it vertical too
