Recently there was a thunderstorm, and lightning struck a nearby powerpole. As a result, our modem died, and so did the GIGABYTE switch.
I replaced the modem, and confirmed it working with some laptops, both wirelessly and by cable.
But now, my stationary computer won't even detect that there's a cable in. There is one unknown SM Bus-controller showing up in device management.
Does this indicate that my built-in LAN port is dead? It's a Marvell Yukon something something. If so, what can I do to fix it?
The second LAN port also has problems, I can only get "Local Acess" only no matter what I do. It has been like this for a while, though.
What are my alternatives here guys?
Motherboard is a Asus Rampage Formula.
