Firewalls

So, I'm looking for a decent freeware/opensource firewall to run on this windows machine.

I have my hardware firewall on my router, but I'm trying to beef up security on this machine. Windows firewall, as we all know, is quite lackluster.

Any recommendations? What do you guiz use?

Comodo firewall is the best one for Windows.

Get 2.4 if you mostly want to block/allow applications and ports.  While 3.0 tries to sell you their antivirus and antispyware, if you decline all the extra offers the basic firewall is good and it comes with Defense+, which applies the firewall concept to processes and their interactions with other processes (not just network traffic) - good stuff.

>>2 wasn't kidding though.  Get an old PIII computer from Goodwill or a local dumpster, install Debian Linux or FreeBSD and learn iptables - best firewall ever.
