im formatting a new western digital 640 gb, 7200 rpm hard drive i just got today. I'm running vista and using the computer management/storage interface to run a format (not quick format). i have a 2.4 ghz processor and 4 gb ram, just wondering approximately how long this should take to finish? I've been running it for 2 hours since i got it, the light is no longer on but drive is still spinning. I'm assuming it's still working but there's no graphic indicator of the format progress! Any advice?
