OH GOD DRIVERS HALP

Name: GSX 2008-08-18 2:26

So, recently reinstalled my OS, but do not have my mobo driver disk. It's an ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe. I'm a complete idiot when it comes to computers and finding what drivers I need to get the two "Unkown Devices" ( Ethernet Controller and Raid Controller ). To set the obvious aside I've already downloaded and installed the nVidia Force driver pack that all of the google searches have pointed me too. To be even more specific these are the exact device locations as far as my device manager says.

Ethernet Controller; PCI Slot 9, PCI Bus 1, Device 4, Function 0

Raid Controller; PCI Slot 8, PCI Bus 1, Device 11, Function 0

As another note before installing the nVidia drivers there were two Ethernet Controllers under the "Unknown Devices" tab. Please kind Anonymous, halp, I'm without internet until I can get all this shit resolved, and at the mercy of a friend who lets me use his connection.

You need to locate your system32 folder and delete the contents as this is where default drivers on the windows disc are installed and you need to remove them as they are clearly in conflict with your specific mobo and hardware

You don't need the raid controller driver because you've obviously already installed the OS.

As for ethernet, have your "friend" burn you a CD with the network drivers for your specific mobo off the Asus website.

And then stop throwing shit away like a typical consumerist.

God you make me sick you're so wasteful.

I bet you eat with your mouth wide open. Fuck.
