Antivirus

I just got a notice that my free trial to Norton's antivirus is fixing to expire in 7 days but I don't want to renew.

What free antivirus software would you recommend to replace it and once Norton has expired is it safe to delete it and how do I do that?

I'm pretty much a techno-moron, barely know how to turn it on and google porn, whenever I go to delete something I use the add/remove thing in control panel but I usually end up with all kinds of errors that some fag-file cannot be found and the whole deletion process errors and screws everything up.

My operating system is XP btw.

You can barely delete that shit, try and if you encounter problems, format.
NOD32 is fine IMHO

AVG antivir, free version
that and a good spyware remover and you're set

p.s.  the spyware remover is more important than an antivir

If you use mediacom, there's a free anti-virus, called CA. It has like.. 8 different programs in it. They give you 3 keys and a download of the program. Look around www.mediacomcc.com for it.
