I got a half built setup circa 2004 really cheap and i'm finishing the job. what i got so far is...
k8n-e deluxe with agp 1.5 and socket 754
+3400 amd athlon 64(newcastle core)
some case with alot of bells and whistles
I'll be dropping 3gb of ddr ram in it. Now what i want to know is what graphics card will be best with this setup? I don't want to over buy because agp is practically dead and i only have about ~120$ to use on the graphics card. Also, this is supposed to be a gaming rig, I know i can't play the newest games, but i hope to play some of them with lower settings and it should be able to play games several years old really well.
From what i've read, the 7800 gs is pretty good and there's some youtube videos showing it working pretty good with comps close to my specs. I looked at some 512mb stuff, but it seems like overkill for this.
