Norton products have been pretty bad since about 1973. A few of the corporate softs aren't terrible, but the rest will raep you and give you AIDS.
I used to say AVG was the dogs-blcks... but these days both the FREE versions and the CORPORATE versions are feelign bloated and slows my network machines down.
Probably bet staying away from that one.

Make that 1999 or something like that. Norton used to have decent products. Damn shame.

Clamwin (it scans and removes viruses, though it won't try to protect you when you foolishly open and run crap)
Also use Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D
(personally I use none of that crap, but I don't run Windows)
