Database software

Hi /comp/

Can anyone recommend me a good and simple program that is like Microsoft Access except free to download?

I've got a lot of information and stuff stored in text files, and I'd love to take all that and put it in one database for ease of use. I'm familiar with Access and other database-related programs from work, but since it's only for simple private stuff it's not something I want to pay for.

What I'm looking for is just something to store lots of simple data (it's only numbers and text) and that responds to basic SQL commands.

How about any database manager not Access? Most of it is free. And if you can code simple data is probably best stored in a flat file.

Thing is, I don't really like coding. I can do it (had SQL training a while back), but it's not something I enjoy. Also I have no idea exactly how most stuff works, as I only know a bit of the basics. So I'd prefer something that's more visual than just code retrieving stuff from flat files.

Use file files and grep, just as Raptor Jesus intended you to.

Hi there!

I got a big problem about one of my mailservers. I've checked slot of websites for tutorials, but none of them have ever worked!

Desperatly, I asks you guys of how a mailserver is built up, and how I should do to make an own fully worked mailserver.

My requirements is that the mails must be stored in a database that I can later with my own webbased program use the information to be displayed to the user.

Thanks for your help... :)
