i'm using freebsd but i basically want to know what terminals support utf-8 or whatever it's called, you see i'm not big on the terminology, i've used freebsd for so long without having to make this change but lately i've been using an all terminal environment where i paste between terminals a lot and my local 8-bit characters don't get copied
i know they don't get copied because i've checked xclip, it's not that they don't get pasted because i can paste them from apps like opera
i'm installing urxvt, because i use rxvt normally and it's for unicode but unicode scares and confuses me because i tried screen -US cat cat and typed some 8-bit characters they came out as nonsense
