This started a few days ago. When I try to play a movie, merge files into a movie, uninstall stuff, browse through pictures, etc, my PC goes really slow. In the task manager it says it's using low CPU and I can't find any explanation. The only clue I have is that the normal processing sound stops. If the normal sound my PC makes when it's doing something challenging can be represented by this: noisenoisenoisenoisenoisenoise; then when my PC the sound like like this: noise.... noise..... noise.... noise.... noise....
I am an idiot and I don't know how best to explain it, but when my PC goes slow, it makes an unnaturally slow and intermittent noise instead of the usual busy sounds it makes. Is this a sign that my PC is dying?
