Will oyu be making a version for firefox 4? I just tried to install the tool and it will not let me apply any moded settings or use the tool. It pops up saying the object is null...

I really apreciate the work, however as someone mentioned I get "Object Is null" while trying to edit the Shown/Hidden Boards for the right click context menu.

This is working pretty damn well, however it appears as though in the options under Menu>Hidden Boards there is no list of boards, it's just empty
I also get this message in the Error Console (under messages):
While creating services from category 'profile-after-change', service for entry '4chanManager', contract ID '@4chan.wrathfilledhate.net/menu/manager-object;1' does not implement nsIObserver.

Also as you already know "@4chan.wrathfilledhate.net/menu/manager-object;1" was what causing the original error message with Firefox 4.0, this isn't a big deal to me because I never use the board hiding feature but I'm sure others care

I've been using the extension for a long time now, and it works great--with one exception, the thread watcher.  Sometimes when I close Firefox, it will erase all my watched threads.  When I reopen the brower, I'll return to find an empty list of threads on every board I browse.  This is quite a huge bummer, it's come to the point where I'm afraid to close Firefox.

Any clue on why this might be happening?  It's not every time either, it seems to occur at random.

Thanks but, is it  just me or the  spoiler  inline expand is not working properly?

Name: Anonymous 2011-04-06 18:48

Postponing my transition to FF4 until that shit is fully working.

was really getting on my nerves.

Is this legit? Not that I will install FF4 for nothing.

Name: Anonymous 2011-04-12 4:15

I'm fairly sure this should be a simple fix. Friend installing this add-on gets the top bar showing, all her options set up properly, but still no inline expansion etc on 3.6.16.
I had this working until I tried to uninstall and reinstall the add-on, and now have the same issue. Updated to FF4, grabbed the newest version of the add-on, same issue still.
I've had to fix this before and recall it being fairly fast. Anyone know what the change I need to do is?

I've just lost the game

Name: Anonymous 2011-05-01 1:44

this is why I stick to 3.6

Name: Anonymous 2011-05-01 22:19

Because you need an outdated Extension? Firefox 4 works just fine.

Looks like the extension needs updating for 4.0.1 again, though. 4chan menu on right-click is gone.

UPDATE THIS SHIT ALREADY

FIX FOR FIREFOX 5

FUCKSAKES.

Name: Anonymous 2011-05-25 18:38

Unofficial fix for firefox 5 beta. All I did was change the allowed maxversion from 4.2 to 5.0. Use at your own risk.

Name: Anonymous 2011-06-11 20:51

I can't edit the board list to hide the ones I don't go to. Using Pale Moon 4. What faggotry is this?

Name: Anonymous 2011-06-13 23:37

So when is this gonna get updated for FF4? I can't even install it because Firefox rejects it.

Name: Anonymous 2011-06-14 20:00

Currently using 4chan Firefox extension v0.4.5.16 and I am getting errors like these:

[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520015 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED) [nsIFileOutputStream.init]"  nsresult: "0x80520015 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED)"  location: "JS frame :: jar:file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/My Name/Application%20Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/bepqugbo.default/extensions/%7B9AA46F4F-4DC7-4c06-97AF-5035170633FE%7D.xpi!/components/4chanCom.js :: <TOP_LEVEL> :: line 1102"  data: no]

Name: Anonymous 2011-06-21 12:44

Well, today FF4 updated to FF5, now what?

Name: Anonymous 2011-06-21 16:18

Does it break the 4chan extension? I am going to assume it does

Name: Anonymous 2011-06-21 17:36

It does.

Update please.

Fix the plugin yourself, it's easy (did it myself before posting)

-download old plugin

http://4chan.wrathfilledhate.net/menu/4chan.v0.4.5.16.xpi

-right-click the 4chan.v0.4.5.16.xpi file, open with 7zip

-extract the install.rdf file

-open notepad, drag-and-drop install.rdf into notepad

-locate the line bellow (ctrl+F helps):

 <em:maxVersion>4.2</em:maxVersion>

 change it to...

 <em:maxVersion>5.0</em:maxVersion>

-just save and exit, don't change anything else

-drag-and-drop modified install.rdf into 7zip window, save and exit 7zip

-drag-and-drop modified 4chan.v0.4.5.16.xpi into FF5, done!

>>834
How well does this work?

Name: Anonymous 2011-06-23 6:37

>>839
Very. Unless the developer actually makes changes to how the addon functions, most of the time increasing the version number is literally all that is done.
