sad attempt at LAN

hey /comp/, i am such a failure.

i was trying to link my laptop with a friend's using RJ-45 cables and stuff, and i clicked on the "set up a home or small office network" thing in Network Connections. somehow i think i've fucked up, and now everytime i boot up my laptop attempts to connect to the net (which is annoying at times). is there any way i can undo this?
