Hash

I've recently acquired a passcracker and I, being an amateur, script-kiddie-ish type, do not now how to retrieve a hash for the program to use. How might I go about doing this?

Or better yet, how might I go about doing a hash check?

Or even better yet, how about getting the fuck out of here?
