I'm thinking about upgrading to wireless-N, and while I was looking through adapotrs I saw that Linksys makes a model that plugs in via USB.
Is the USB port fast enough to take advantage of wireless-N's speed? Or should I just get something that installs into my PCI slot?
Thanks

If you use a lot of USB devices, especially low speed devices that send data all the time (for example a mouse), you should probably go with PCI. USB 2.0 is fast but the more devices are connected, the more often your fast adapter will have to wait for other devices to free the bus because of the hub characteristics of USB.
If it's going to be the only device connected via USB, that won't be a problem.

Ok, so I'm thinking for the router I might go with Apple's Airport Extreme. Just about every review I've read has been glowing.
But would any given adaptor work better than another?
I know a lot of people use Airport with their PC's but they never mention what adaptors they were using.
