xD flash card formatting

I ripped out an XD card from the reader because i was in a hurry
Now when I put it back in my camera, it gave a card error
So i tried ti format it. Gave me a card error.

How to I need to format an XD card for use with an Olympus C-350 Zoom camera?

I agree on that opinion, But opinions don't change facts.
So, besides traveling back in time, what can be done about said handicapped XD card to get it working again?
