opening an .XEF file

wondering what i need to use to open a .xef file. the one i have has a zip file in it evidently and i wanna see what it is. thanks for help in advance.

ok. scratch that, i found that winace does it..

now a new problem arises. there's a password on it. how would i go about cracking that?

WinAce .xef files use one of eight possible encryption algorithms. First, find out which yours uses, and then go from there.
If it's at all like .rar (which uses AES), brute-forcing is probably the only way to go about breaking it, though. Which means you're fucked.
