wtf happened to my computer?!

Hi /comp/.
I got a call about a dead hard drive. I tried to chkdsk it using a CD but then it gave me an error about aliide.sys. If I booted it normally it gave me an unmountable_boot_volume error. So I put in my known good drive in, and it kept restarting itself. I took out the other hard drive (there were two in the machine) and attempted to make it bootable, but it gave the same aliide.sys error. Then I froze the 1st hard drive and hooked it up to the good PC and it made a KRKRKRKRKR so I figured "o shi it's dead!". The next day for shits n giggles I tried to turn on the computer with the dead hard drive and it wouldn't even post. The test machine wouldn't post either.

OMGEEZ I BROKED IT.

Reinstall firefox.

update windows

It's not broken, its just charging its laser.

Leave it running preferably during an electrical storm.

Could be the PSU dying and giving out power surges in an attempt to take some hard drives and main boards with it. I had a similar case about two weeks ago.

if it keeps clicking, it's dead. recyle it. there is nothing more you could do. may it rest in peace
