Hi im a noobfuck,

Whats the bestway of protecting myself from prosecution?

So far  I got, not use Utorrent, use an IP blocklist, encrypted traffic and proxy. I try not to be stupid and use trackers that I know are gonna get me caught.

Anyone know anything else I can do???

inb4 dont use torrents

Are you using the IP blocklist from openmedia.info? If you are, think you can rapidshare it or something?

what i did was buy a wireless network adapter for my pc, then search my area for unsecured networks.

I found a couple and use those for all my torrenting needs.  If they are secured using WEP just google how to crack it, its pretty easy.

PeerGuardian is nothing more than placebo. It actually does more harm than it does good. Have fun wearing your tin foil hat.

well in the uk  a guy was arrested for running a torrent site, but thats about it. dont think anyone downloading anything has ever been prosecuted here.

Never heard about anyone downloading and getting prosecutet, but alot that burn to CD and sell gets cought, and you have to be very very unlucky before someone even take the time to go to your house to search you computer.

the lawyer from http://recordingindustryvspeople.blogspot.com/ came to my school to give a guest lecture, and during the lecture he said RIAA / MPAA have never sued anyone using bit torrent. The only people who have been sued are the ones using fast track (limewire, kazaa, bearshare etc) Granted he would be the guy to know, but you can never be too sure. And how do you know peerguardian does more harm than good. how so!?

A friend of a friend has been sued by the Battlestar people. The reason being torrents of course.

In before "You have no friends, enjoy court."

Don't change these.
