Hi guys. I've got a laptop that came with Vista pre-installed. Naturally, this cannot be allowed to continue and I will be installing XP very, very soon. I'm just wondering if there's anything I need to look out for with doing the whole Vista-to-XP thing that might make it hard to do. Thanks for any help you can give me.

There shouldn't be any problems. I reccommend that you format your hard drive before you reinstall XP! Might make things a bit eaiser.

- Take a quick look at Device Manager before you kill Vista. So you know what type of drivers to search for.
- Make your recovery discs in case you need to take the laptop back.

you need to contact the laptop companies software support and get the drivers for the laptop. xp has drivers that will support some of the functions of your laptop, but not all. if you want your laptop to run tits, then you have to have the correct drivers. i do support your conversion to xp, you can download an emulator to make your computer look like vista....cause vista just looks fucking cool, but it runs like a turd.
