Data storage

Zup?

I have had two external hard drives crash in the past weeks.  What's a reliable hard rive or other method for long term storage of pictures/media that you need to access frequently?

Keeping multiple hardrives pid for and synched is getting old...

Seagate first.  Western Digital second.  Maxtor never.

Tips for use of external hard drives:
 - Don't use enclosures that have bad airflow.  
 - Don't place them where they can't get air.
 - Don't move them while they are running.
 - Don't let your cat sleep on them.
 - Blow a fan on them to keep them cool, if you keep them in a closet or something.
