Hey guys, I need help.

My monitor isn't working and I don't know why, I've checked everything, graphics card is in correctly, all components are, power is in, yet it isn't working.

The monitor displayes a black and white grid and appears to be changing resolution every 5 seconds. I tried plugging it onto the on board graphics port but it does the same thing, anyone know how to fix it?

You don't have a monitor so any advice here won't help, sorry.
