TEMP folder

Name: Anonymous 2007-10-19 0:49

I want this torrent, but a bunch of people complained about it not working, so I looked up on it and it turns out I have to go through this list of steps to get it to work. The first step was to "delete your files in your temp folder" so I go to my temp folder highligh all of the files and it goes through the process of deleting the files when an error pops up and says "cannot delete ~DF67F5.tmp: it is being used by another person or program. Close any files that may be using the file and try again."
What confuses me is that im not running any programs that should be using it, unless windows explorer uses it, and also there must be a thousand other files in my temp folder that have similar names that had no trouble at all deleting.
Thanks for the help

Reboot and try deleting that file again.  Rebooting will stop the process that was using it.  Of course, it's possible the same process will startup again and just create another temp file.

Use the Windows disk cleanup utility.  It cleans up temp files and manages to not encounter this problem.

I'm sick of this "just get more ram!" bullshit. My 286 did almost as much functionality-wise as my current multi-ghz machine. Yeah, really. Sure, there was no multi-tasking, but I did the mostly the same things as I do today.
Hello, fuckers, just because you can eat ram doesn't mean you should. It costs money and also reduces the number of programs you can run.
I can see it now: in another ten years programs will have minimum footprint of 1GB, but they'll just do more of the same

Don't change these.
