Ok, cable:
Make some ethernet cables. They are RJ-45 connectors on either end of some cat5, cat5e or cat6 cable. Pin em out like this:
1 Green/White
2 Green
3 Orange/White
4 Blue
5 Blue/White
6 Orange
7 Brown/White
8 Brown
Make at least three of these cables.
Buy an ethernet switch. They cost about $15. Cheaper the better.
Plug an ethernet cable between your modem and your ethernet switch.
Plug an ethernet cable between your computer and your ethernet switch.
Plug an ethernet cable between your other computer and your ethernet switch.
Power everything up.
Enjoy either:
i) your new routed network
ii) asking someone the fuck else why PPPoE is made of fail and AIDS and how do I switch over to PPPoA.
