While playing battlefield two, the dark areas (mostly the indoor areas and some shadows) are too dark. as in completely black. I was in a smallish building playing the PR mod and it took me 2 minutes to figure out where to go to get up the stairs, as there was no way for me to tell the stairs from the walls except by positioning the stairs in front of a window by walking around.
The areas in the sunlight looked just fine to me, its just the dark areas that are giving me trouble.
I had the problem solved a couple months ago, but I had to reinstall my OS, and I forgot the solution.
I'm using Windows XP 32-bit, have a p1230 Dell CRT monitor and I use a GeForce 7600 GS OC.
I tried changing the video settings in Battlefield 2 but that didn't work. Neither did fiddling with the settings in the Nvidia control panel, though I was probably messing with the wrong settings.
Any help would be appreciated.
