Do not open it. It contains lead and other hazardous materials.

Sure, you can drill a hole into it. Just make sure to find the exact center of the screen, it will be easiest there. And it won't explode, I guarantee it.

>>3 is correct. CRTs don't explode, they implode if you structurally weaken them. The contain a near-vacuum (otherwise the electron beam will set things on fire). That's why the glass is so thick, to withstand air pressure.

Famous last words, this time from someone wanting to use his crt as a fish tank:

OP (really) here, I didn't get cut up or anything. I took it apart and was about to drill a hole in it, but me and my flatmate's got drunk and smashed it with a brick.
There was no explosion, it just sorda made a loud glass smashing sound and imploded. I'm using the case it was in as bin to put my trash in =D
and a smashed monitor on my driveway

My flatmate said something about the electricity, and told me to touch it. I touched the shit inside it and the big compositor, but didn't feel anything.
I doubt you can get lead positioning... I'm not eating it or anything

>compositor
You mean the CRT itself.
>doubt you can get lead positioning... I'm not eating it or anything
Lead isn't the only metal inside monitors. Some contain mercury. Bet its hilarious to roll metal around your hand... but I have a bigger laugh when you go RETARDED from it.
Bullshit (often bowdlerized to BS), also Bullcrap, is a common English expletive. It can also be shortened to just "Bull".
Most commonly, it describes incorrect, misleading, false language and statements. Literally, it describes the feces of a bull. As with many expletives, it can be used as an interjection (or in many other parts of speech) and can carry a wide variety of meanings.
Bullshitting is usually when one makes statements that are false, or made-up. Usually people describe other people's action of making a lot of statements as bullshitting in arguments, when one is making up rules or making examples that are not anything to do with what they are discussing or when one is making statements by using examples that need different rules to be applied, so this person is bullshitting
As it contains the word "shit", the term is sometimes considered foul language, hence the use of the euphemistic abbreviations "bull" and "BS". Nonetheless, the term is prevalent in American English and, as with many words, the term is used in a variety of countries, some dating back to approximately the same era World War I. In British English, bollocks is a comparable expletive, although bullshit is now a commonly used expletive in British English also.
