Vista USB drivers not working

Name: Anonymous 2007-09-20 13:01 ID:nn+tP2H2

I'm running Vista Home Premium on my laptop and my USB port drivers are failing to install. The Standard Universal/Enhanced PCI to USB host controller is missing.

All USB ports don't work, and device manager has yellow exclamation marks on the USBs.

Please help?

Vista is trying to tell you that using USB drives can impose security risks. And it's disabling the ports by default. It's by design. There's no possibility to disable that behaviour in Home Premium, you'd need Business or Ultimate for that.

I think your standard universal/enhanced PCI to USB host contoller is missing and you need to look for it then you can use your USB ports

On Vista you need a USB to 3,5mm converter so you can plug your USB devices to your soundcard.

You need to find drivers for your motherboard.  Just...Google for them.
