Alcohol 120% issues

Hello /comp/.

Basic problem: After obtaining the ISO through dubious means (which is part of why I'm posting here, and not on the official board, although the other part has to do with their help service sucking beyond reason), I've attempted to burn the ISO to a blank DVD+RW.

After attempting to start the process, I get the issue: Please insert a blank disc into the following CD/DVD-Recorder to continue.

Obviously, the disc is in there, or I wouldn't be here.  After browsing through about ten or so pages on their official forums, I decided that they were not going to be any help, so I turn to you, /comp/, in hopes that someone here can tell me why the hell this program won't work like it should.

I also figure I should mention that I've attempted this both with a normal .iso and Alcohol's own .mds file extension, and gotten the exact same result.

Can someone please offer some insight?

So you're having trouble burning a DVD in general?

No, it's just Alcohol 120%.

Using any other method, it works, but Alcohol 120% gives me the 4x speed option that is recommended, to my knowledge, for burning PS2 ISOs.

Uh... just use any other method then.

Your DVD burner probably doesn't support DVD+RW. Did you try burning anything else on the DVD+RW?

Don't change these.
