Ignore the other cocksuckers. VB is perfectly fine for simple projects. The last VB I used was v.6.0, so I'm not in tune with all this VB.NET gayness (i.e. VD.NUT).

I'd recommend python to you because it's the closest thing to writing programs in pseudocode. If you really want to use vb, get vb.net. The language is slightly more consistent than vb6.
