Hey guys,
out of sheer curiosity I torrented a copy of Mac OS X 10.4.9
I made a logical partition on my hard drive and tried to install it after burning the image on a DVD, but the mac installer won't recognize any of my hard drives.
Here's the hard drives in my computer:
1. SATA 250GB (c:[180GB, ntfs], i:[30GB, ext2], j:[40GB, unpartitioned]
2. IDE 300GB (d:[300GB, ntfs])
3. IDE 60GB (e:[60GB, ntfs])
My goal is to get Mac OSX installed in the unpartitioned 40GB space in hard drive #1.

It sounds like you need an HFS+ Formatter.

I cannot find one.
I did, however, read a forum post that I found through google about someone formatting a drive to fat32 and then formatting it to hfs+ using a mac disk utility program (I forget what it's called specifically, but I have a copy of it)
