another "i need a new PC" thread

Hullo, i'll keep it short and sweet.
my current rig is the following:

p4 3.0C (800mhz FSB)
intel D875PBZLK motherboard
1gb ram
ATI 9800 PRO AIW
120GB seagate hdd
audigy 2 ZS

with all the new games coming out ... this doesn't even meet the MINIMUM requirements anymore... my goal with my next machine and the ones before it is to upgrade in one go and have it last for a minimum of 4 years without any major ($200+) upgrades...which the machine i'm using now has done perfectly..

is now the time to replace my PC or should i wait for some tech on the horizon that will make  it worth the wait?
i priced out the following for around $2300CAD:

Antec P182 ATX Black Mid Tower Case 4X5.25 1X3.5 6X3.5INT No PS Front USB Audio Firewire

2x Antec 120MM Case Fan 3/4 Pin Adpt DBB Double Ball Bearing 2000RPM 79CFM 29.8DBA
1 Year Parts & 1 Years Labour Limited Warranty On System Components

some questions:
1)should i wait or just go for it now
2)is Quadcore worth it or should i get a higher clocked Duo core (i NEVER overclock)
3)would you change any parts listed above?
4)2GB of DDR2-800 good enough or should i go higher?
5)i need a UPS to go with this, can anyone recommend me one (under $300 preferbly)

Seriously, have you ever seen the best loadout those things can have?

More like 20,000$ please.- But it would be so worth it.

Don't change these.
