Does anyone know of a small USB keypad-type device that is only multimedia keys like volume, track forward, play/pause, etc.?

I'd call it a multimedia keypad, but evidently if anyone makes one, they don't.

I want it to control Foobar while I'm running full-screen Internet.

Ok, i think what you are looking for is called a Media Pad or MediaPad and it appears it is not available as a stand-alone unit.

For foobar, why not just assign unique global hotkeys to do this?  Modifier keys + numpad keys, for example.

File | Preferences | General | Keyboard Shortcuts | Global -> Yes (per action)

Don't change these.
