I'm looking to host a website, and I need a proper internet connection for it, the fastest i have seen is 768kb/s upload speed, which is not enough, does anyone know of a company which does this properly?

Only thoughts I have on the subject is to remind you that your upload speed is only a about third of what your download speed is. If that means anything to you.

Pay for a shell account and use that instead.

My account has a 100 Mbps connection to the local INEX--the bottleneck is always at the remote end.  Not my fault you picked a shitty vendor (let me guess, were they the cheapest?).

Of course it's easy to piss away your bandwidth allocation over such a fast link so throttling is essential.

Move to an area that sits on top of a fibre ring, or a metro ethernet node.

Don't change these.
