I found this old DOS game on rapidsearch, the Quest for Glory anthology. The only files in the download besides some pdfs were a .bin and .cue file. Can someone help me get it working?

its a game you play with a hex editor. since you're a noob, just get winhex. open the .bin up and start fighting the hexes.
If it's a .bin file, I do believe you have to run it through an "emulator". Emulators were written to run the binary code files of old quarter-fed console games like Galaga and Pac-Man. Google "game emulator".

you're going to have to explain a little more about that. That'll apparently let me see the code so I can edit it; I just want to play the damn thing, not play with it.

I've tried taking your advice, but most of what I find are for unrelated systems, or refer me to DOS box, which does not run bin/CUE files. I did find one called "FreeSCI emulator", but it is also a .bin file...

Or try opening it with power iso and extracting the files.

get alchohol 120%. it will create a virtual drive and you can mount the cue file on the virtual drive. then cd to the drive and run whatever exe is in there.
