Stupid question about harddrives

About a month ago I made a thread on suggestions for a new hard drive.

Someone told me there are two basic kinds of hard drives, and how to tell te difference.

I need to know the difference again.

All I remember is that it has something to do with the way the cable connects to the back of the hard drive.

your all wrong... i cant believe you idiots. the two types of harddrive are FAT32 and NTFS, if you buy a FAT you cant use windows on it, its thinks you need that unlix bullcrap or something
