need help upgrading ram

my computer is running slow and it crashes often 
someone told me i can improve my computers performance easily and cheap by adding more ram
my motherboard is msi k8t neo but im not sure what kind of ram it uses
could someone please help and give me some recommendations

Looked up the model # with google assuming it's the right one it looks like ddr ram.  Just google ddr ram or go to Best Buy and ask for it

best buy doesnt carry my ram
regardless of what i have on my computer it slows down and crashes when i run to many programs

Too much gunk. Windows accumulates things like processes and programs. Just back-up, format, and reinstall.
