Video File Database

I have been burning downloaded videos and music videos for some time now, and its getting hard to keep it all straight. I have decided to create a database of all the files and make refrences to what DVD they are on (I have a 520 cd binder). I'll probly start off just by haveing the file, run time, codec, and DVD number, but in the future expand to episode summarys and screenshots.

I am just looking for suggestions on what program I should use for this. Perferabily free, or at least easy to steal.

Well, I think you have lots of options... mainly because you don't really have any requirements. You just wanna store stuff.

And it doesn't seem like you want to code it yourself.. so, I'd suggest using a wiki.

You can keep track of relationships between items.. make pages for each dvd you burn, and have wonderful searching & in-table-sorting. Heck, when you get it all on a media server you can have links to the files.

That's what I'd do.
