Games not on C drive

Are there still games/programs that fuck up when not installed on the windows directory partition?

I'm gonna make my XP partition only 3GB and throw my games and software on a different partition.

There shouldn't be a problem like that for games younger than 5 years.

I know EVE Online extracts its temp installation files to C: no matter what.

I know almost all LucasArts games install themselves wherever your Windows is installed, regardless of the drive you specified.

I usually never have winXP on C:, and I've never had any problems.  Of course some programs still insist on writing to C:, usually log files and what not.
