Good laptop for college

Hey 4chan. I'm looking for a good, durable laptop for college, one that's cheap enough to be college-priced but sturdy enough that I won't need to pick one up every year. No Macs.

A couple of days ago they ran a survey on the most hated words in the Internet, among which were "blogsphere", "blog", "podcast". I propose "rig" as the most obnoxious, retarded word ever. The second I read it my stomach revolts as I think of the pathetic loser who wrote it.
