Hey anon, me and my friends got caught pinging the server at our high school(seniors 18+). We only ever did it during our IT class and such, and it only ever lasted 1-3 hours each time with 10000 bytes as the packet size.

If the ping only happened twice last week, do you think it could break the school's server. I highly doubt it could do anything, the school has T3 and its a school of around 800.

As of right now me and my friends are banned from school, one week before final exams, and we arent allowed back in until they fix the issue, and find out its probably not our fault.

What do you guys thing, our fault, or something completely unrelated?

metasploit is moar fun than ping
doing anything unauthorized on a computer network, especially a state owned one, is going to be seen as hacking, no matter how lame.

Yesterday the IT staff told the firewall was blocking all student and teacher accounts from accessing the internet. Since thats the most retarded thing ive ever heard, im starting to think they fucked it up.
