Problems with hard drives

Helo /comp/, I just bought a new hard drive because the old one is about to die(its still usable though) but whenever I turn the pc on there an error and I cant start windows. Im using the new one as the primary one and I thought i could just use them that way to transfer my data. Any help?

Get this, it'll help. You'll be able to use your new hard disk and access your old one as well. You'll also get a decent operating environment and learn a thing or two, and all the malware that made you "format" every year will be history.

Go into bios and disable "auto-SATA recogntion" (or enable it if it is disabled) and try booting.
