hiding your stuff

what do you use to hide your stuff in XP? just making a folder "hidden" is not great, especially if you move your drive to someone's pc who has hidden folders visible by default.

i once just put my stuff in a folder i expected nobody to view, but there's smarter ways. freeware, shareware, something built into windows already - whatever - some of it sucks, but 4chan must be full of people hiding their secret pron folders etc.

so i'm interested to know what most people's methods of hiding their stuff are.

actually the only time i've had trouble is when i take my ext hdd to someone else's pc. so anon 7's suggestion sounds decent - even if its still visible through my own pc. problem is formatting wont be easy, its already full of 250gb of stuff i dont want to lose (no, not ALL porn)
